I am SO excited to get to share my transformation of this old vintage china cabinet. Do you Remember this old thing?
I had been debating whether paint the back a pale pastel colour or to use a strong hit of bold colour, but after seeing this beautiful colour combination, I knew I could achieve the same dramatic look with a little elbow grease.
I sanded, filled holes and applied 2 coats of high adhesive primer. She started to come alive.
This is when I decided to get brave and add a hit of bold emerald green on the back and inside the lower doors. I highlighted the hardware, curves and details with gold paint. She began to sing!
I really love how this project turned out. I think being bold with colour is such a fun way to update vintage/dark wood pieces!
Stunning – AND I did it with a dated piece of furniture and paint!
I bet you will never look at a disregarded piece of furniture the same again.
Are you now a up-cycle believer now?
