I am SO excited to share my transformation of this dark dated 3 drawer Mid Century Modern dresser.

Do you Remember this old thing? Despite this I fell in love with it because of it’s amazing turned legs and unique 3 handle top drawer.

I knew I wanted to update it’s tired worn look to be Modern and Dramatic but I didn’t know how. After I sanded one of the drawers and saw this beautiful wood grain I knew he could be transformed into something Bold and Dramatic!

I sanded the case of the dresser  and the 2 remaining drawers but the water damage and chips in the veneer only left me with the option to paint. I was happy I was able to rescue all it’s Walnut handles 🙂

So I primed and painted it’s case in Clean White.

I wanted to add a little contrast with the 2 remaining damaged drawers but didn’t want to take away from the dressers star, the renewed Walnut, so I painted them in a cool steel grey.

Stunning – AND I did it with a dated piece of furniture, stain, paint and some elbow grease!

I bet you will never look at a disregarded piece of furniture the same again.

Are you now a up-cycle believer now?
